IGNOU Admission Portal for ODL Programmes - July 2022 Admission Cycle
JULY 2022 ADMISSION CYCLE - LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION - 31st July 2022.
In a particular admission cycle, facility for fee exemption available to SC/ST students can be claimed for one programme only. If an applicant submits more than one application claiming fee exemption, all the applications shall be rejected.
Eligible students can apply for Government of India Scholarships at https://scholarships.gov.in/ after confirmation of admission.

Instruction to Fill Application Form Online
- If you are a first time applicant you are advised to click the available programme tab on the homepage of the Online Admission System and select the desired programme and carefully read the details of programme including eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc.
- You are also requested to download the Common Prospectus and read carefully the Rules of the University (Section 10) as mentioned in the common prospectus. You may also read sections 11,12,13,14 and 17.
- Click on the button NEW REGISTRATION that appears in the applicant login area and fill the required registration details.
- Remember, while choosing your UserName it must be between 8 to 16 characters.
- While choosing your password it must be alphanumeric and between 8 to 16 characters long.
- After filling the mandatory information click the "SUBMIT" button.
- Your username will be instantly sent to you via e-mail and SMS.
- Remember your Username and Password for subsequent login.
- If you have already registered i.e you are an existing user click the "LOGIN" button.
- Before proceeding for filling the form online the applicant must have the following:-
- Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)
- Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)
- Scanned copy of Age Proof (less than 200 KB)
- Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)
- Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)
- Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)
- Scanned Copy of BPL Certificate, if Below Poverty Line(less than 200 KB)
- 6.Fee can be paid by following methods:
- Credit Card (Master/Visa)
- Debit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay)
- Net Banking
- It is necessary to scan documents from your originals. Once you have uploaded the document, click the next button you will get the Form preview option. Save/Print your form for future reference.
- Please fill up the details carefully. If you are using the services of a cybercafe to fill up your form, plesae make sure that details are correctly filled up and the relevant documents are uploaded as prescribed.
Registration fee, Cancellation of Admission and Refund of Fee
A non-refundable Registration Fee shall be charged along with the programme fee of first semester/year at the time of admission.
If a student applies for cancellation of admission and refund of fee, the refund request will be considered as per the University policy as under:
- Before the last date for submission of admission form-the fee paid will be refunded after deduction of Registration fee.
- Within 15 days from the last date for submission of admission form-the fee paid will be refunded after
- deduction of Rs.500/-
- Within 30 days from the last date for submission of admission form-the fee paid will be refunded after deduction of Rs.1,000/-.
- After 30 days from the closure of the last date-No refund will be allowed.

Notification regarding PG Admission and Entrance Reschedule 2022-23 in Gauhati University
NOTIFICATION
1. In view of the current flood situation and demand from the University stakeholders, the
admission committee recommended the distribution of seats in the post-graduate programmes as given below:
a. For traditional subjects: 80% of the seats will be reserved for Gauhati University students and 20% for other university students. However, there will be exceptions in the case of M.Sc. in Geology, where there will be a 50:50 student ratio between GU and other universities as in previous years.
b. In interdisciplinary subjects, all seats are open to all students, irrespective of any
University.
2. For Extra-Curricular and Co-curricular activities, certificates obtained on and after 1st January
2019 will be considered in case of applicants applied under Extra Curricular reservation. This
condition is applicable only for the session 2022-23 due to the pandemic situation in the last three years. Other conditions will remain as earlier.
3. The important dates in connection to the Post Graduate Entrance Examination (PGET)-2022 of
Gauhati University has been rescheduled for the session 2022- 23 as given below:
Last date for closing of Online Admission Form: 9th July 2022 (upto midnight)
Issue of Admit Cards online: 20th July 2022 onwards
Dates of the PGET-2022: 26 July 2022, 27 July 2022 & 28 July
2022
Dates of Publishing the Complete Rank List: 8th & 9th August 2022
Publishing of provisional selection list from the individual Department with Departmental specific cutoff marks: 10th August 2022
Dates of Admission: 12th and 13th August, 2022
Date of the Commencement of Classes: 16th August 2022
4. As informed, the students will be admitted to the post-graduate programmes of Madhabdev
University, Narayanpur, and Bhattadev University, Bajali, Pathsala, from the merit list of PGET-
2022 conducted by Gauhati University.
